My 2.5 yr old wont sleep

My youngest daughter will be 3 in June and has yet to sleep through the night...Up until a month ago she may wake up once or twice for "cuddles" or her bink ect...A month ago my daughters and I took a vacation back to our home state for the holidays for about 5 weeks. During that time she would not go to sleep unless I was in bed with her and would not stay asleep unless I was next to her all night. Now that we have been home I have been trying to retrain her to sleep by herself. After a few fights I will eventually get her to sleep in her own bed, but she is up 5 or 6 times a night, crying and coming into our room. I am over it. I have tried letting her scream, taking her by the hand and putting her in bed over and over but nothing is working. I feel like I am about to drop and have no idea what to do. She is too old for this. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? Thank you so much.

Ugh I'm so sorry you're dealing with that!

My son had a period of waking a million times a night and running into our room, crying when put back, etc., and it SUCKED. We tried the Supernanny approach, too, of just turning him right around when he came in, but he started to see it as a game and we were NOT amused!

Two suggestions:

1) install a baby gate in her doorway so she cannot get out

2) tell her you will close your door if she keeps coming in. That worked for my son. He'd burst into our room and then we'd tell him we were going to close our door if he came back. He would (of course, LOL) and we'd do it and he'd get really mad and scream and cry...and it took a few times but then, if we just threatened to close our door, he'd stay in his room.

Good luck! I feel for you! HTH!

My suggestion would be to let her sleep with you.
