I don't have much advice for you, other than to tell you that most everything you have said sounds normal to me. My DD uses her blankets when she's feeling insecure, and I only wish she'd tell me she loved me 20 times/day. :) If you feel like he's fishing for attention; give it to him. Maybe he needs some more one on one time with you. The only thing that I would be concerned about is the jacket wearing.
