naps are coming to an end

DD isn't napping every afternoon like she did a few months ago. Out of 7 days she naps about 4. Does this mean they are coming to an end? Those two hours when both kids were napping is when I got dinner done, laundry, bills, etc. Now I guess I have to figure out a new schedule.
My 3 year old and I have been fighting this battle since my youngest was born - 8 months ago. Everyone I talked to told me to not let go of naps - but I fear that we spend more time fighting about it and maybe we would both be happier if we gave it up. There are days when she lays in there and plays, but then there are days when she sleeps for 2 1/2 hours - so I can't believe that her body doesn't need it. Her pediatrician told us not to give up yet, too. It's hard!

I'll be SO sad when Mara stops napping! She's 3.5 and still takes a good, 2 hour nap every day! Now if I could get my 3 month old to nap at the same time I'd be set! LOL
As for your situation, I guess it's hard to say...you could still ask her to lay down for some "quiet time" every day. That will allow you to get your stuff done and who knows, she may fall asleep during her quiet time too. GL!
Logan still naps regularity. If he decided to stop - I would institute quite time like a PP suggested. My sister still does with her 6 year old - he can do quite activities like reading, watching a movie, ect - as long as he's laying down and still. They still need some quiet rest time, even if they aren't full out napping.
I will be sad when Logan stops napping too!!! He has woken up very early from a couple of naps lately... and I've had him lay down on the couch to watch a show and then I let him get up after that... not sure what i'll do when he skips them completely. Though, he'll be 4 in September, so its coming. They still take naps at daycare though... so for now, we're good :)
