I know it is early!  But, I love to get a jump start on things.  Has anyone bought anything for Christmas yet? When will you start shopping?

A little bit here and there- usually whenever I see a good deal. :smileyhappy:

I mostly buy in advance for neices and nephews. I learned the hard way not to buy for my own kids too far in advance b/c they change their minds and interests too often!

I've been considering the Leap Frog pad for Landon too. He always wants to play on my DH's so I thought one of his own would be a good idea. I'm just not sure, though! I can't believe how much they cost (or maybe I'm just cheap! Ha!).

I would be done too if I had the money to do it all! I'm trying to buy a few things each paycheck so that it'll be done by December and I can actually enjoy the month without stressing!

Lisa,

I've noticed that the older my boys get, the more they are like this too. They'll change their minds like crazy in the month leading up to Christmas. I finally told them to write their lists out to Santa early... then they couldn't change their minds!

They are on sale on amazon at the moment for $79! I was almost ready to just order 2 today and then I got thinking about it more. I think the 3 year old would be perfect for it, and then an ipod touch for the 5 year old, but again, I am just not 100% sure. I hate to let the $79 price go by, but I also try and make sure I have things for the grand parent to get the kids that don't cost too much, they don't see the kids during hte year, maybe once a year at the most for DH's parents and 2-3 times a year for my parents. DH's parents usually set aside $75-100 per grandchild, though I hate to ask for one big expensive gift from them. Still on the fence though...

That's a great price! We don't have the actual leap frog pad b/c my kids grew out of it before they came out but they've LOVED every Leap Frog, Didj, etc they've had in the past.

If you're on the fence, you might want to go ahead and go for it. I've seen Amazon's prices flucuate hourly before! Right now, it's showing the Leap Frog Pad for $78- a whole dollar cheaper, LOL.

Ya, I know... I am going to call my brother tonight, ask him what he thinks. I am the worst about being on the fence. If it wasn't such a large purchase... Senior year expenses are kicking my butt!

Oh, I see that they are still on sale! Did you end up picking up one?

No, I am one of those horrible fence sitters at making decisions. I'm still mulling it over.

I pre-ordered the new "Wii U" - it will be for both my boys. Needless to say, they won't be getting much else from us, LOL.

They don't know I was able to pre-order one so my plan is to make a big deal out of trying to search for one and then tell them I wasn't able to find one in stock. Then, hopefully, they will be surprised on Christmas!
