Sleep help!?!?!

Our daughter is 2 1/2 and has always been an excellent sleeper. We put her down and not a peep. However since early Sept. We've been dealing with sleeping issues. She is scared of us leaving her (we each had to go out of town for work early sept), storms, wind, monsters, you name it. We were having some good nights but now she needs me to hold her hand so she can go to sleep. It takes forever, tonight it was almost 1 1/2 hrs for her to fall asleep. She's rearranging her blankets, tossing and turning. I can take much more of this. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

Logan periodically goes through stages of sleep issues... so although it doesn't go away.. it will stop for awhile!! lol

I'm not sure if this would work for a 2 year old... but the one thing I found for Logan is for me to keep his door open and sit in the hallway. This way you're not in the room - but they can see you. Each night I move farther away until I can stop doing it. It seems to make him feel better. I usually knit or read. I always keep my back to him - and I make sure he knows that I am not going to interact (talk to him, go in his room, ect) with him during this time. Usually the first couple of nights are rough... but then he starts going to bed like normal just watching me.. then after a few nights he just goes to bed until the next time he goes through the stage.

I hope you can find something that works for you!! I know on Super Nanny they start in the room and then move out of the room as the child feel comfortable?
