I love this Spotlight Mommy segment!

So how was St Thomas? My youngest uncle got married there. Of course no one in the family went because none of us believed they were really getting married. Boy were we surprised when they got back, lol.

What is the name of your current car? We name our cars too, always have. My current one is called Tiffany. Trying to think up some good ones for the minivan we will be getting shortly. Any ideas?

St. Thomas was lovely. We were so young when we got married (21 & 24) that we kinda went the discount route, but we still had a great time. Boy, do I wish I could take a vacation, any vacation with JUST my hubby nowadays!

I don't have a name for the minivan yet. It was a forced purchase so I'm no very attached to it. (I was coerced by DH into getting my first minivan, a Chevy Venture. I fell in love with it and it developed all sorts of problems. DH dumped it and got me the Sienna.)

Great getting to know you!! I used to live in the D.C. metro area for about 5 years, but now I'm back in my hometown of Cleveland, OH. It was pretty there though during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Any favorite spots in D.C.???

Actually, we're not really city people, so we don't go into DC unless we absolutely have too. We've taken the kids to some of the Smithsonians, and been to a couple of shows, that's it.

However, I have always been awed by the Vietnam War Memorial- it is such a powerful place. I took my parents there one time, and my they were nearly in tears looking up friends names. Plus my mom, who is uaually totally unemotional, said I should be thankful for the car accident that cracked my dad's skull in 1968, or he could have been up on the wall and I would never have known him. It was like they went back to when they were 19 again. It's that kind of place.
