We got our second set of consents. These for the actual procedure and such. We are mailing them and a HUGE check out tomorrow. We also got our list of pretesting to do. I had b/w yesterday. My FSH was 10 point something, so I guess its a good thing we decided to go with donor embryos. I get an u/s tomorrow as a baseline and DH and I will get all the b/w for the infectious disease labs done. Next week I have a mock transfer and the cultures done. I started on BCP's today. Things are definitely moving right along!! We are planning on a July 8th transfer. I am excited/scared/ overwhelming, . This is our first and possibly only shot at this, and I want everything to go perfect (of course) but I feel like such a newbie compared to all the BTDT people I read about. Hopefully this will be all it takes. We are one and done anyway. We both have older kids from previous marriages, so whatever we get from one pregnancy we will be happy with, although DH says he is shooting for triplets, lol. And to top it all off, this was our last week of classes for college so we have been *crazy* busy besides. One more take home final to do and I will officially be graduating on the 22nd. And then going back in the fall to finish up my second degree, lol. Glutton for punishment I guess. I love reading about how everyone is doing. I will have more time to post now that classes are done. Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!!

Thanks! Gavin is a example of donor embryos gone right! Fingers crossed that this one is just as successful for both of us!

The clinic that we are going to will only let us transfer a maximum of 2 embryos. We transferred 3 with our last FET, got pregnant with twins but lost one and ended up with one perfect baby. It makes me nervous only transferring 2, as we are out of pocket as well, but with our first FET there was one great embryo and 2 fair embryos. This cycle we are transferring 1 excellent embryo and 1 good embryo, so the odds should be in our favor.

I'm so ready to get started!

We picked embryos in March and got matched with our second choice, which looking back were the best of the bunch anyway. We were very lucky. We were told we would be on the waiting list for at least 6 to 12 months. We got matched on our first try after only 2 months on the list. We have 6 embies. 4 that are 2pn and 2 that are refrozen 4 cell. We have agreed to transfer 4. We are all self-pay and dont know that we could afford this again, so we want our best chance at success without going crazy. I just know that for our clinic, any embies we dont use go back on the list for others to choose. I dont want that, so we will use what we can. I know that at our clinic they let you transfer more than the traditional 2 or 3 if you sign a waiver saying you release them from all responsibility and that you know what you are doing. Im really excited because the donors actually have close to the same physical characteristics as us. We didnt think we would get that lucky. I am so excited to finally be on our way!! It will be awesome to have a cycle buddy!! Lauren, your little Gavin is SO adorable!!

How exciting for you! Looks like you and I are in it together. I started BCP last night for my donor embryo transfer. I don't have my calender yet so I don't know when transfer is. As far as feeling like a newbie goes, I've had 2 fresh cycles and an FET and it seems like everytime it's a whole new world to me! It's so nice to have a cycle buddy! Have you picked your embryos? How many are you transferring?

Congrats on graduating (what are you studying?) and on getting started with the de process! We were all newbies once, and soon you'll be another of our success stories :)
