I think sometimes the people at the clinics who do specific jobs (i.e. not the people looking at the big picture, like your doctor and nurse) are a little fixated on their part of things, and they can't really explain what's going on in terms that the average person understands.
Actually, it doesn't matter really what cycle day you are, b/c they're not going by
well crud. Turns out that my lining was just under what they wanted...so I have another U/S on Wednesday and THEN maybe we can move on. Lupron shots a ton of estrace per day until then. I am so confused though, I have never used donor eggs before, although I did have a FET.
My cycle day at U/S time will be day 22...and I assume eggs will not be thawed or fertillized yet -- so I am TOTALLY confused. Are they going to do the transfer on like day 28? and does the Estrace etc keep AF away? Does the cycle day really matter? if not, whay do they ask me my cycle day whenever I come in?
THIS waiting is almost as bad as the 2WW -- the cycle that never ends.
I will be having a U/S tomorrow to check the thickness of my lining -- they will likely tell me tomorrow when the thaw of my eggs will take place and when they expect the 3 or 5 day transfer to take place. And then I can bore you all to death with thaw/fert/growth reports for the coming week :-)
That's great news!
