I certainly don't think so!
I had my first (natural conception) at 39, and had my de-ivf baby at 42.
Since you're using de, you don't have to worry about all the old egg issues, and if you're in good general health and didn't have any significant issues w/ your twins, then I would imagine you'd be fine with another pregnancy.

I have OLDER children, 26, almost 25 and almost 22. I am 43 and just did my donor embryo transfer yesterday. I dont think you are crazy at all. We transferred 3 embies as we know this is probably our only shot and wanted the best chance possible for success, so technically that makes it possible for me to have triplets at the age of 44. I think if you know what you want you should go for it and age be danged!!

My DS was born in January and I turned 39 in February. Always thought we only wanted one but DH and I now think we want to try again. Just a matter of saving up the $35k for another DE shared risk cycle at our clinic. Needless to say, I'll be over 40 if we go again.

I'm 42. It's only crazy if you talk like that. I plan to hold my chin up very high with only the greatest of confidence about my personal choices. (yeah, we'll see...easier said than done.) LOL I wish you well!

I guess I'm the grandma here. Gave birth to my daugther at 40 and have been trying to have another ever since. After two m/c we turned to IVF. After two failed IVFs, we turned to IVF/DE. I'm now 18 weeks preggers at 45! I'm just counting on the fact that I look younger than my age (at least I hope I do).

I do worry about people thinking I'm the grandma. But I'm just very motivated to stay in shape and look my best so that doesn't happen (too often).

I am lurking from Jan 2012 EC. My MIL gets mistaken as my 4 year old DD's mom frequently and she is 51. There is nothing wrong with having kids later in life if that is what you want. It's totally a personal decision and don't let anyone else make you think otherwise.
