Okay, here we go!!! CD1 and counting. I'm going for an official consultation with an ob tomorrow morning. Since I'm planning on doing ICI at home, I wasn't too concerned about seeing an ob. I also couldn't get an appointment for about 2.5 months. (I just moved here this past summer, so I don't have a regular ob.) Anyway, they had a cancellation, so I got in this week. I get to go ask all sorts of pesky questions and get all of those little nagging questions cleared up.
I also had an issue with my doctor authorization with the sperm bank. My regular family doctor was going to sign it. But it took about a hundred tries to get the paperwork to go through to their fax. Then it was the wrong paperwork, and, blah, blah, blah. When we finally got our ducks in a row, my doc found out that they had to go through their corporate office to sign off on the forms and that could take up to two months. Meanwhile, I have the last few vials of sperm from my donor on hold, only until the end of this week! (Until his next release anyway - which I am on the waitlist for.) Needless to say I was panicked! But, now that I will be a patient at the ob's office, they are going to sign off on everything tomorrow and I am really good to go.
My last two cycles I have pretty clearly ovulated on cd13. So here's looking forward to Sunday the 24th. Hopefully, I'll be "knocking myself up" that day! I am so excited! (I know the odds say that things may not go my way this month, but who cares about odds! Here's to the power of positive thinking!)
