Okay guys. DH called after her got back form making his "contribution" and he told me they got 27 eggs. I almost fell off my chair. You guys know my mantra of "quality over quantity" so to be honest I am a little concerned. I am worried that there will be a large number that are overripe or immature. But on the other hand with that many there's got to be some that a good, right?

Anyway, I guess we'll know tomorrow. It's gonna be a long 24 hours.

Wow! 27 eggs is awesome! I think this is the make-up for that scare you had this weekend. :)

I completely know how you feel about the waiting...I thought I was going to go crazy waiting for the call. My husband's radio alarm went off yesterday a.m. and I picked up my phone and said hello. I've never been this far because my own IVF was canceled due to poor response so I was very nervous none of the eggs would fertilize and turns out I worried for nothing. I know you are still going to worry, no matter what anyone says to try to relax you, until you get THAT call but just try to remember it's out of your hands at this point so try to stay relaxed. From what I read (trying to calm myself) on average 60-70% of the eggs will fertilize unless there is an issue with the eggs, but that shouldn't be an issue when using a donor. So I think you will have some great eggs to work with and as everyone keeps saying, it only takes one. :)

I am so excited for you! This is awesome...I am scheduled for my 3 day transfer tomorrow so I might not be on until the afternoon but please update us as soon as you hear the good news.

You know there will be some amount of immature but you have a great number to work with.

well, you know though with these 'younger' better eggs, even though that is a lot number wise, there is a greater chance of more of them being great viable eggs for the ET!
