Hi All, I have had a bit of a roller coaster over the last week. My Donor had a total of 21 eggs retrieved.

It is so rough when you have high expectations and the results do not meet them.

While you didn't get a great rate of fert, sounds like the development went well!

From our frozen egg cycle, we had 2 embies, a 5 cell and a 7 cell, and I'm pg w/ a singleton, so I agree that it sounds like your chances are pretty good.

Try to stay sane during your 2WW!!!!

It is hard to answer about success rate.

I transferred a 4 cell and an 8 cell that were previously frozen (thawed and then inseminated) and am pg with twins from that cycle.. I've also had 2 blasts transferred and one died and the other was a BFP that miscarried...so it is really to make a definitive statement about embryo development. I would have thought that my blasts would do better than the 4 and 8 cell, but clearly I was wrong.

I would say that if your DR is positive that is a great sign.

Just a question, does your DH have any children? I didn't think my DH has the greatest sperm (he has had 2 testicular surgeries) but yet our RE thought his sperm was fine. Part of this has to do with the fact that he has a 17.5 year old son. I think they sort of went with this and glossed over other aspects. Our fert wasn't superb (7/10 on the fresh cycle).

I'm wishing you the best of luck!

Best wishes,

Gabrielle
