Well I have always thought about donating but I have no clue how to go about doing so. I am currently pregnant with my second child... so I know my eggs are good. I really wanna help out a family, does anyone know how I find a safe place to do so?

Do you live in the U.S.? If so, I would recommend going to some donor agencies and seeing if they would take you on. It might be that some of them only accept "experienced" donors, I really don't know for sure. So if that's the case, you could try to donate on your own as an independent donor. You can place an add on greateggs.com. Mention your age and that you have children of your own, that is always a good sign when a donor has children.

What a wonderful gift you are willing to give someone. Bless you !

My suggestion is to locate a fertility clinic in your area and ask if they have a donor program. You can also go on the CSRM website and find clinics. While donor agencys are great, the problem we encountered is that they do not go by the CSRM standards of compensating the donor $5000. The donor agencies we found wanted any where from $5-15,000 just for their donor fee and that didn't even include their "administrative fee" (one was as high as $6500 for that fee) it also didn't include the IVF procedure or the meds for donor or recipient. We found a donor we really liked from a place in California but the fees were way too high for us to afford.

Why am I telling you this ??? because you might not realise that most couples try with their own eggs first and spend tens of thousands of dollars before moving on to donor eggs. We've already spent over 35K. Going to an agency that basically charges astronomical rates was way out of our league. (C'mon, $6500 for paperwork, arranging appointments---that didn't even include donor testing)

I read the profiles from these girls that want to help couples get pregnant but I don't think they know that
