3rd beta didn't change but 4th went up and of course this happened while I was out of town. I had to find a lab and go in at 6:30am my first day of vacation then heard back that afternoon that the levels had risen a little. We then had to find a clinic that could administer the methotrexate shots. We finally found one and coordinated the appt. I leaned over the table and 2 nurses each gave me one shot at the same time. It was not an enjoyable afternoon. But both RE doctors are confident it was ectopic so that somehow makes me feel better. I guess because I was concerned it might be DH's sperm. So we still have 4 frozen embies and my doctor said we can start again in March...why so long? I started bleeding Thurs night after the shot and have been off and on for the past few days. I'm going in tomorrow for another b/w to see if the levels are dropping but I'm hoping the bleeding means it's all clear.

It's good to be back and ready to do it again.....

Carolyn, sounds like just crappy luck, and you have a great shot with your FET.

I don't know why they said March. Do you know what would be normal? Do I have to have a regular period/cycle before we can go again or what? I will ask when I talk to them tomorrow -perhaps they were being conservative you know in case my levels didn't immediately go down after the shots or something? I guess I need to find out what is involved with the FET because this will be my first.

How are you feeling? any symptoms yet? I cannot wait to find out how many you have...your numbers look great!

Uusally it's just a month in between cycles, but I'm not sure about ectopic though.

hi Carolyn,

I am sorry to hear that it was an ectopic. On the other hand, maybe that's not a bad thing b/c it wasn't your uterus or DH's sperm, KWIM? I know after BFP's, at least for me, you do have to wait- mainly for your levels to come down. But maybe since yours never got too high, you might not need to wait until March....that seems kinda long? See what your doc says and KUP. I'll be thinking of you!

I'm sorry to hear that you had an ectopic, but as PP said, at least you know it wasn't a problem w/ the embryo itself!

I'm wondering if the wait is due to the methotrexate?

When I had my ectopic they waited until the levels hit zero--and they really slow down when you get below 100, which makes theaiting worse---
