I'm in my early 30's, and this is my first experience with IVF, I have to use a donor. Unfortunately, I was supposed to start estrogen on Monday but the donor cancelled. We had to find a new donor, and we will possibly be able to pick back up next week. Maybe. It's difficult, but I'm trying to stay positive.

What are all the hormones and injections like? Do you become a super demon or do you just cry at the drop of the hat? I'm new to all of this so I would love to hear from people who have or are going through it as well.

Hopefully, if all works out we might be able to go through with everything with the transfer taking place near the end of the month. Hope to hear and learn from all of your experiences!

Oh no!  Well at least they can freeze everything until your body is ready.  Freezing techniques are so much better than in the past, all of my embies that were frozen survived the thaw for all my transfers.  It does really suck about your uterus, but hopefully they can figure out what's wrong.  Will it just go away on it's own?

I know about the fear, I've lived with it for 6 years.  I hope your frozen transfer works the first time for you, odds are it will, especially with a donor.  As soon as I switched to donor egg I got pregnant, now I just need to get them to stick :smileyhappy:  I can tell you that after going through IVF for five years and many failures, the fear does fade.  Still there for sure, but I have learned that I have to live my life and if it's meant to be, it will happen.  I keep telling myself over and over that I have to accept the fact that it may not happen how and when I want it to, but it will happen.   It is so hard, but try to stay positive :smileywink:

hopeful - Sorry you were cancelled.  I know that its frustrating.   Hope next go around is better.  I know they can give you viagra suppositories to help with your lining.    When do you think you can do the FET?   How many embryo's were they able to freeze/

Leighlv.-- sorry i am absent minded.. what's going on with your cycle?

Sounds like a good plan!!  I know October seems so far away, but it really will be here before you know it.  Enjoy your few weeks of being on the pill, I know for me taking the pill was always like a mental break because I knew I didn't have to be "trying" and there was nothing I had to do but take that pill every day, no shots or ultrasounds.  Good luck!

leigh -YIPPEE on your transfer..  good luck tomorrow!!!

I feel the same way  about bCP.. feels like  a really good menatl break. .. i don't even have to think about tTC or if i might be pregnant and all the jazz,

hopeful - sounds like you have a good plan..  don't read too much into all the stories you read.  everyone is different and theri bodies react different and we all have differnt eggs transferred so you can't compare.  plus that will drive you insane.

AFM -- i was the mayor of crazy town yesterday so got an early ultrasound.   We saw one little HB.. it was 100bpm so a little low .   I go in next week for another u/s so hopefully the HB will be stronger.  I am 6 weeks today..
