I know that a lot of you ladies have been at this for a lot longer than I have, but I am nonetheless frustrated.

Many of us have participated in shared donor cycles; that is, one donor's eggs are shared among 2 or 3 recipients.

Hi again Kimmy. I know what you are saying about those images on line. I looked at those before and they all had very artificial made up looks to me. My clinic has "in house' donors and although you only see their baby and childhood pictures, they look like real, everyday people. Choosing my donor was the easiest part of the whole process. hi, Kimmy,

Sounds as if you are now closer than I am! No, there is no magic book of donor people at my clinic. I'm not sure what happens. All I know is that "I'm on the list."

I feel as if my RE mislead me as well. When we decided to do an IVF procedure instead of donor eggs, he said that the whole thing would take 2 months. I'm thinking it is going to be a year now!

My RE also said that they like to shoot for 10-14 eggs in a cycle for anyone. Remember that "young eggs" are much more sturdy and have more of a chance of making it.

Good luck with your decision on the adoption. Sounds like your DE is supporting you.

best,
martha

I am coming into this late and one who did DS, so perhaps my thoughts are different.

My biggest fear of an adoption was #1 it failing at the end and #2 the bio-birthers wanting it back.

You are absolutely right, this is not an easy decision.
