Hi. I have been posting on the IVF board but after 2 failed IUI's and 2 IVF cycles that never even made it to the ER I am considering IVF with donor eggs. I am ready to move onto this step. DH is not. He wants to do a few more cycles with my own eggs but we have tried several different protocals and I am not producing as many follicles asI had during the IUI's only six months ago. I have to admit. I am beginning to second guess and lose faith in my RE. She seems so uninvolved in my dream to have a baby. I have seen her 2 times in 6 months. I live in TN. If anyone is aware of a good donor agency/program in TN or a RE that they would recommend in the Nashville area, I would greatly appreciate it. If I do take the step to go with donor eggs I would like to have a doctor that I respect and trust.
TIA,
Beth

Hi :)

I can't help with any of your questions as I'm in Australia, but just wanted to welcome you to the board. My son was conceived with donor sperm but there are several here who have used donor eggs. Hope some of the other ladies can help you out. Take care xxx

Hi Belinda,
Thanks for the warm welcome. Your siggy (picture of son and puppy) is adorable. What type of dog do you have? We have a pomeranian that looks similar to your puppy. How old is your son? Are you trying IVF with donor sperm for baby #2?

Thanks Beth :)

He's a pomeranian / maltese X, and he is very cute, isn't he? We just got him a couple of weeks ago. And no, we did IVF / DI / ICSI to conceive Mitchell and had 4 embryos left. A couple of years ago we tried with those but only 1 survived the thaw and I didn't get pregnant. We'd always said we would try with those embryos and that would be it - mind you we thought we'd get at least one more out of them. We've thought a lot but really don't want to go through it all again as I reacted pretty badly to the hormones and was a wreck for a lot of our infertility journey, and after 6 years of wondering if we'd ever have a child at all, we are just really happy with Mitchell now and moving on with our lives. It's amazing how time changes things (and hanging out on the Only Child board) because now I can almost believe that having one child is what I always wanted - there are lots of benefits and Mitchell is adamant he doesn't want any brothers or sisters that he likes it being "Daddy, Mummy and me"...

I thought he was a pomeranian. We have a pom that is one year old. His name is Rascal and he is precious. I have a dd from a previous marriage. I gave birth to her when I was 30 and had no trouble conceiving. Now I find myself 41, remarried to someone that does not have children of his own and I am now having problems getting pg. It is such an emotional experience. Thanks for being here for those of us still on this IVF journey!
