Officially starting tonight!
13
Tue, 11-10-2009 - 4:42pm

cross-posted)

So it's official, we're starting today! I will start Lupron tonight, and stop BCP on Sat. The donor will most likely do the same, starting Lupron tomorrow. I'll add in the Estrace on Tues, and the donor will probably start stims next Friday. So the estimated ER date is 12/2 and ET 12/5 (my bday) through 12/7. Very exciting!

Now, I forgot to ask the nurse, when you are drawing out the lupron, do you measure from the bottom of the black stopper or the rounded top (if you're holding the needle up)? I remember having that same question last year and I forget the answer...

After too many failed natural cycles to mention, discover that previously clear tubes have become blocked after surgery to remove fibroids (however, no more fibroids). Decent FSH for 40 year old

This past Sunday, as in 3 days ago? If Sat 11/8 was your last BCP you'll probably get it in the next day or so. Usually you'll get it within 3 days of stopping BCP, so it's not really late yet. Also, it might be really light- like even just spotting and that's it, so make sure you call your doc as soon as you see something. Good luck!

We're on the same protocol but different timing I guess. Even though our retrievals are set for the same time because I'm currently where you'll be next week. I'm still waiting for my period (I overlapped lupron and bcp last week -sunday was my last bcp). It's so frustrating though why the stupid AF hasn't shown up -the one time I actually want her to! :)

RE's office said if she hasn't shown by Friday I am to come in for u/s to see what is going on...ugh! Do you think they'll give me some provera or postpone this cycle?? gheesh, why won't my period show up?? Anyone else have this happen to them?

Yes, I guess our protocol is slightly different because I am overlapping lupron and BCP till Sat. Then just lupron till Tues (and I'll get my period) then adding estrace on Tues.

You know I was totally thinking of the PIO syringes that have a more dome-shaped top...so never mind!
