I know that I was told at my clinic that sometimes people send flowers to the donor on the day of the transfer.

I did end up having the donor agency send her some Godiva Choclolate.

I think our clinic actually did say that they send the donor flowers. My first impulse is no, because it seems like I already gave her thousands of dollars and this is more of a business arrangement with a stranger. On the other hand, if I am really pregnant, I might very well be so grateful that I might send her flowers. Not a gift card though. I gave her a lot of money already.

We used 2 different clinics with in-house donor pools so gifts were not an issue. It's really up to you. I would think that a gift for a known donor or donor you've met would make sense but otherwise I probably would skip it

No one at our clinic brought up the idea of a present for the donor and we did do a fresh cycle.

I agree with Spencer, it seems a little strange since it is an anonymous donor. In December, I had a donor which produced zero eggs for me, so that would have been awkard to give her a gift.

Interesting, I guess you just do what you feel comfortable with.

I've never heard of that. I could see if it were an identified donor, but for an anonymous donor, it seems a little over the top.

In our case, since we used frozen oocytes, it really wouldn't make any sense, since our cycle wasn't even at the same time as her cycle. We weren't given the option that I recall.
