Fantastic! Remember, it only takes one ;) I was allotted 4 frozen oocytes, of which 2 fertilized. We put both back and one implanted successfully.

Keep us posted, and I hope we'll be hearing some positive news in a couple weeks!

Great news Krisit. Like Spencer, we did the frozen ooctyte cycle but had 6 defrosted for us. All 6 fertilized but we still did a 3dt of 2 and now have our little man. It only takes 1. Good luck!

At 3 days I had a 5 cell and a 7 cell. While we weren't hoping for twins, we were willing to transfer 2 b/c it didn't make a lot of sense to us to risk losing the second embryo going to freeze, especially since it was from a frozen oocyte. They recommended transferring both as we expected, so we did. And one was successful, so we were glad we did. We assume it was the 7 cell which succeeded, but don't know for sure - what if it was the 5 cell and we hadn't transferred both?

It is a personal choice...we went with two because with frozen oocytes there probably wouldn't be any to freeze AND we weren't going to do DE again so for us due to cost. I really wanted two children and even if I had some to freeze, you have to pay storage fees and another transfer fee etc... which was an additional 5k at the time. I can tell you that twins weren't that hard. Believe it or not, we might end up (after all this) trying again in the future.

Best wishes,

Gabrielle

If you don't mind twins and there is no reason why you couldn't carry twins.
