VERY Excited ! New Donor Found!

Well, we have found a new donor and I am now just waiting for AF. Just a refresher, my last DE cycle ended in m/c at 5.5 weeks. The u/s showed 20 follies at ER but only 5 were retrieved. All 5 fertilized but only 4 grew past day 3. My RE thinks my donor had less than good quality eggs and said that yes, even with her being only 23, that can happen.

We still have the first donors 2 embies in the freezer but my RE wants us to just go with a new donor and she's giving us free cryopreservation for those two embies. We are in the shared risk program at Shady Grove

Hi Carrie, Thanks for the kind words and congrats on your BFP ! Hope everything keeps going smoothly for you ! Isn't it an awesome feeling :-)

I hope you don't mind my asking but why is it they say you only have a 2% chance of m/c? I've done all the tests and have a normal uterus, etc. Weirdly enough, all of my pregnancies have been on my own in between IF cycles (sometimes my friends tell me God is trying to tell me something-LOL!)

I have had 3 m/c but the first was when I was 39, then 40, then 41 and my RE said it was because I probably had old eggs. My DH was 42 w/ the first IVF and all 18 of my own

That is good that you found a donor who looks a lot like you. Can I ask if she has cycled before? That's great to be in a shared risk program, I wish we had done that to begin with. I did not know about it at the time. It offers so much more hope for the patient.

Also, regarding the 2 frozen embryos that you have, do they know what the quality of those embryos are? I also was reluctant to do another FET, since the first two transfers with
