Hi everyone...my question is, would you consider using a second donor if you already have a child from one who is no longer available??

Absolutely. We have 2 frozen totsicles from our first donor and plan to do an FET after this baby is born. If those do not work, we would consider embryo adoption.

I would also use a different donor if my other donor was no longer available.

After struggling with infertility, we welcomed our son Noah on March 18, 2010! Formerly a teacher, I am now a breastfeeding, babywearing, stay at home Mom, and I couldn't love it any more!

I think even parents who use their own eggs and own sperm get worried that if they have another one that baby won't be as good as their first baby (that is, if their first baby is good!).

You know, one fear I have, given that we were able to conceive our DD on our own, is that when #2 is different (b/c they all are different!) I'll be thinking it's b/c of the donor eggs, not just b/c they're different kids, KWIM?

Intellectually, I know that the differences will be just as likely just normal variations, but our DD is such a good kid, even when she has her tantrums, that I'm wondering how I will react w/ #2.

You know, I think those fears are completely normal.
