Yet another horrible day in the journey

Well, I almost made the full 2WW, but apparently it just wasn't meant to be. I started my period today, so my DI didn't take. Even worse, I think this is going to be the end of the road for us. We just don't have the funds to keep going through this over and over, and really, as you all can understand, we can't keep putting ourselves through this emotionally.

Thank you to everyone who posted their well wishes for us, it was really appreciated!

I am going to say how sorry I am for you...totally been there done that, which makes this board so helpful.

I am also going to be a bit honest and you can tell me to go to you know where if you want...

your road has been a long one, fully of crappy broken dreams covered in glass shards.

When AF comes on CD39 its just EVIL and everyone is allowed to quit...for at least that day or even a cycle or two.

Once I packed my bags and flew to Disneyland...NOT te place to be after a failed IUI

I SWORE my last one was IT....I don't know if it would have been because it worked...but I was close to losing it and it was #10/11.

And for me, not being able to not control things was making me battier

So lets look at things you CAN control

Is your insurance covering anything?
Are you doing IUI?
Are you medicating during the cycle?
How are you predicting ovulation?
Are you on baby asprin?
Are you having your progestrone levels checked after ovulation?

I did cycles depicted by OPK - all failed. I added in clomid and opk - all failed. I upped the clomid and added ultrasound prediction - still failed.

The cycle that worked for me was baby aspirin, 100mgs clomid, hcg trigger shot, then first IUI 12 hours after trigger and 2nd IUI 24 hrs after that. Had progestrone levels check (I think) 7 days post O.

And I bought ALL new $40 undies from Victoria's secret and went hiking the day AF was due

We did get pg with my son, Danny. But when we did 4 more cycles just like that one, not once worked.

Had I to do it over again....most of the costs we were paying for, so each cycle was around $2G

I'd get an electric fertility monitor
I'd still do baby aspirin
If I felt safe enough, I'd do clomid without the montoring, even though it could be danagerous
I'd do home ICI - like 4-5 insems instead of the IUI's...more if the costs played into it.

I figured for the price I was paying at the doctors, I could've insemined myself right before peak, at peak and after peak...better odds, no?

But big giant hugs hon...quit for today and just think for tomorrow.

Ask Elaine, Ask Jenna, Ask Tan, ask Pack, ask Alex...this road SUCKS but is so worth it!
