Can you temp after getting up?

DH and I have decided to try for #3 in a few months - I have to wait a few months until I'm off my current medication - my calculations show between xmas & new years as our first opportunity. Since we have 2 boys, we thought it wouldn't hurt anything to try some of the non-invasive girl methods, including timing sex 2-3 days before ovulation.

Welcome to the board. :o)

When I first started charting, I had a young baby, so I often temped on my way to the bathroom or on my way to get my little one. I found I didn't have any trouble getting a readable chart by doing that, but your mileage may vary. All you can do is try it out and see what happens.

Hi Trisha -

I'm one of those people that can have weird variations if I'm up and about before I temp. Go ahead and try it and see if you can get a readable chart even with being out of bed -- you may find that it works for you!! Try not to worry if you're chart gets "peaky."

Would you be totally opposed to setting an alarm for sometime in the middle of the night (say 4:30) and then going back to sleep? That might be another alternative for you!

G/L and I hope you get your little pink bundle! :)
