Cervical mucus

My husband and I are trying for our second child. We have been having unprotected "relations" :) for about 2.5 months. I typically feel myself ovulate (I get short, sharp pain when it happens) and we had no problems with the first. I got pregnant the first month we tried!

I have a question I am hoping you ladies can help me with. My last period was Jan 10-14, 2010. I have not had a period since then. I took a pregnancy test last Friday but it was negative. I have not had my typical ovulation pain, nor have I had a decrease in cervical mucus and other such indicators. So I was planning on taking another preg test tomorrow.

My question really is "if I am pregnant, should my cervical mucus change? get less?"

Please help! Thanks ladies!

Yes, I've been very wet and mucus has been egg white consistency for weeks. I can't remember whether the consistency or quantity changed (if it did!) when I was pregnant with my son.

And, yes, husband and I have been BDing just to make sure! :)

Part of my problem is that I have no idea what my regular cycle is! I was on birthcontrol pills for so long before we started trying the first time, that when I went off them, I had a very text book cycle (which is when I got pregnant!). I have not been doing the OPT since I ran out after the first 20 of them after my period in January.

It's such a pain to not know what the heck your body is doing!!! Lol. Oh well. I figured I would take another HPT at the end of this week/weekend and if still another no, try to see if I bleed or take another test in another week.

Sigh. Waiting is the pits. Thanks for the for the response!

Have you considered moving things up a notch, and temping?
