Excited about chart, but trying not to be

Hi all, I've never posted here before but have posted a few times on the TTC board. My name is Becky & I'm 29, just got married Friday (YAY!) and have 2 sons from a previous marriage. Alex is 9 and Logan is 6. Both were planned "first attempts". I had a 3rd pregnancy with my new husband in April '08 that unfortunately ended thru miscarriage at just 5 weeks. We started "not trying, not preventing" about 6 months later and have had no luck since. So I've been off birth control for about 17 months now. This is our 2nd cycle actually trying harder than just to BD around the time those generic online ovulation calculators say to and have been charting. My first cycle charting was a mess, different temp times, regular fever thermometer, bad sleep schedule, etc. It showed briefly an O on cd 19 but temps were only up 3 days & went back down the rest of the time. Last 2 AF's were very light and much different than normal so I'm assuming anovulatory. Anyway, this months chart looks promising other than the low temps that make me a little uneasy. But I used OPKs this month too and if tomorrow's temp cooperates it will put me O'ing on Friday....my wedding day. ;) Seems strange that it puts it on Friday tho, I would have thought Saturday. So if someone could please take a look I would appreciate it. I'm very hopeful this cycle and hope I don't get a huge let down in the upcoming days with temps that won't stay up! Even just ovulating will make me ecstatic, even if I'm not pregnant this month. Also, with a 29 day cycle, is O'ing on cd 17 or 18 going to be a problem? Puts my LP kind of on the low end I think.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Sue, thanks for the reply :)

My cycles vary between 27-30 days, but 29 days seems to be the most common. I do wish I'd of paid more attention before I started charting. I just know that most months I would expect it to be 28 & get excited when I went into 29 or 30 just to be disappointed that I'd get a BFN and then of course AF would show soon after.

An odd thing that I've noticed is a week, week & a half before AF is due in the last 4-5 cycles I've gotten a low fever. Any idea what's up with that? I don't know if it affected my recent morning temps or not because I just noticed it this evening. And it's low, only 99.0. Last month I had a 3 day rise and it looked like I O'd but then on the 2nd or 3rd evening I got that low fever & my BBT went back down & stayed down. Scared that's going to happen again :(

If this month isn't it for us we're taking next month off & waiting until I can get in to the doctor. But hopefully this is it since my chart is looking pretty good!

Fever, as in you feel lousy...or just a higher temp?

Now that you're charting, it'll be easier to keep track of your LP length and see if it's long enough.

Temp was up to 99.2, so technically not a fever I guess (was reading it had to be over 100 to actually be a fever) but I could feel it...headache, neckache, bit of a stomach ache. Went away before I went to sleep tho and temp was high enough today to ring back my pretty yellow boxes. Yay. :) But still really worried about them not staying up, just like last month. I'll try to keep in mind that last month I should probably just erase from my memory since my chart was probably pretty inaccurate.

Let's hope that your temps will keep rising...you may just have a slow rise going.
