Anyone else use FF to chart your BBT? I just started this month and all was going well, I should be getting closer to O date in the next day or so. Yesterday my temp was 98.12, today my temp was 89.92. FF said 89.92 must not be correct as it was appeared to be a Celsius reading. My BT is digital and reads in F. Anyway, FF refused to chart the 89.92. Anyone had this happen and is there a way to fix it without permanently changing the charting settings to C?

Hi- I use FF also.

I would think that 89.92 is a wrong temp.

Well I thought it said 97.92 at first but honestly I remember it being dark and me being half awake and thinking I only saw the 92 part that 97 must be hte first two #'s. I went back to sleep for an hour. It's digital and stores the very last temp taken. I turned it on to look at it again when I was awake and 89.92 is what it said. I could hardly believe it. I re-temped about an hour and a half later (half hour after waking) and it said 99.04. I had moved around a lot more by then, I tried to plug in this temp and then FF said I was 3DPO, which isn't right from a timing perspective, I don't think. Also, my CM while more fertile was still only creamy (sry for tmi) so not the EWCM. Then again I don't think I have EWCM anymore. My cycles are on average 29-30 days though and CD9 would be waaaay too early for an O. I decided not to record the temp and just make a note on FF. Will pick back up again tomorrow, hopefully the read is better.

Well 89.92 is 9 degrees lower than 98.12, so that's way out of range and you'd have the wonkiest looking chart ever if you were able to enter it. I'm surprised the thermometer would even register a temp that low. Makes me wonder if maybe your battery is going bad? Try using it to take your temp now (any time of day) and see if you get a more normal reading. As for the temp, you'll just have to leave it off your chart. Pay careful attention to your cm so you know when it dries up, in case your temp doesn't allow you to be certain as to when you ovulated.

Thanks Veggie! Yeah, I guess it was a fluke because it read at 97.77 this morning. Not sure what happened there. The thermometer is new I would hope it wouldn't require batteries already. But then again, it probably sat on Walmart's shelves for months before purchase. Anyway, I'm still trying to learn how to interpret my chart. Since I missed a temp day, now instead of giving me a cover line it does not. OPK seems to read lighter than yesterday, which I considered a negative. Now it makes me wonder if yesterday was a +. Ay ay ay.

Well it looks to me like your cervical mucus is starting to get more fertile, so I'm going to guess that you haven't O'd yet.
