high temps but open cervix?

I tried posting on the NFP board a couple days ago but got no response, so since this question has to do with charting I figured it might be ok to post over here? I chart temerature, check cervix, and check CM every month. This month however my cervix has been open for around 8 days I think. It is now finally starting to feel closed, but Fertility Friend claimed I ovulated 5 days ago, which would've made sense. cervix would've been open for around 3 days. We had relations 2 days after it claimed I O and my cervix was still open and i still had some watery mucus ( which by now has dried up).

I should also note that my temperature is spiking higher than usual, although I am using a different thermometer it still doesn't usually spike like this. And this evening, when it would be the highest, I took it for fun and

I'd be happy to take a look at your chart, if you want to share the link with us. And yes, you are more than welcome to post here in addition to NFP. We deal with all things charting here :-)

I seem to recall cycles, when I was charting/paying close attention, where my cervix didn't close right away even tho I had O'd. It wasn't my normal thing but it did happen occasionally. However, the fact that you were on vacation does factor in to things...so it's entirely possible that you O'd later than you usually do. I've had a perfectly enjoyable, non-stressful, family vacation wreak havoc with my cycle...I didn't O until after I got home! Anyway, if you post your chart link, and make sure you tell us when you were on vacation, I'll be happy to give my input.

Thanks for stopping by :-)

Post a link to your chart :) I would be very interested to see it. I don't check my cervix but I've been charting my temp and mucous for years.

Ok here's a link! I think vacataion may have had something to do with it as it is closed now! My temp went back up this am, but I haven't updated my chart. Hope it goes through. We are leaving on vacation again today so I think I need to say goodbye to a normal chart this month!

Thank you so much for taking a look at my chart! My mother in law has done it their whole marriage, but I'm not always comfortable asking her to look at my chart. And for the last year it's been easy to read mine, obviously this month threw

LOL...um yea, I'm not sure I could share my chart with either my mother or my MIL. Especially not MIL. Not sure she could ever figure it out anyway ;-) Then again, I've already talked charting with my dd and she's only just 14...but we weren't talking about either hers or mine. She does know about ewcm tho.

I am glad you understand!! And I think that's really neat you've talked to your 14 year old about it. Does she have her own chart? I wish I had been tracking my signs and temperature
