new to charting and very confused!

Hi Everyone,

I started charting in February and although my chart seems to make perfect sense when I look at only the temperatures (there's an obvious shift CD10), I had an OPK+ on CD17 and 18. The OPK was neg CD7 thru CD16. When did I O??

I've been taking my temperature at the same time each morning and I didn't notice any significant changes in my CM :(

Is BBT always reliable? Or should I concentrate more on using OPK? Or should I just chill and see what happens next month? I suppose I can BD with DH according to my BBT and OPK! :)

Has this happened to anyone else? Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks, Sue! I got a BFN yesterday and AF came today. I'll keep on charting and I'll start paying closer attention to my CM this cycle. I'm 34 and TTC #1. I stopped taking the pill in October, perhaps that is why my chart is so strange.

Does using a basal thermometer make a big difference? I've been using a regular digital thermometer. I went to several pharmacies searching for a basal one but none of them carry it. I had to explain to the pharmacist what it was used for and they told me that a digital thermometer would suffice. I live in Germany and the only basal thermometer I found was online for about $50. If it's important, I can pick one up on my next trip to the States.

Thanks again for your reply!

Don't know if this will help in Germany, I am new to temping too and found that the BASAL was necessary. The regular didgital will come out like that on a chart.. pretty flat. The website is www.walgreens.com and the basal is $9.99 US. Good Luck!

I'm sorry you're having trouble finding a BBT thermometer.
