Online charting and OPKs?

I have been TTC my third child for several months with no success. I have decided to start charting for the first time in my life. I have read extensively and think I have a pretty good grasp of what I'm doing, but any tips would be appreciated!

What online tracking tools/websites would you recommend? Preferably a free one. I am also going to use OPK's this month to make sure I am ovulating when I think I am. Any particular brands you would recommend or does it matter?

Thanks!

I like how Fertility Friend's software works.  There's a free and a paid version, and there's also a mobile app that inferfaces with their website.  It's very user friendly.

As for your OPK question, it's been so long since I used one, I don't even know what brands are out there anymore, LOL.  You can try googling the question...or just buy some and use them and see how they work for you.

Good luck on your TTC journey.

Thanks Sue. I found Fertility Friend online the other day and signed up. I'm horrible at remembering to temp though so far! I just bought some cheap OPK's for this month and we'll see how it goes!

Hopefully you'll find it easier to remember to temp as you build the habit.  Temping and observing fertility signs gives a more complete picture of your cycle and what your body is doing, much more complete than an OPK can ever be, because an OPK won't tell you that you actually ovulated.  It's just a predictor, and there are things that can derail the process and delay/cancel ovulation.  I found it helpful to set my alarm for the same time every day, temp, and then go back to sleep if I didn't actually need to get up.  Most BBT thermometers will save your recorded temp for later viewing, so you don't have to worry about remembering what your temp was.
