question about charting....

Hey ladies,

Quick question. I have pcos and have been treated with met and dexamethasone for over a year now. Started birth control a few months ago but endocrinologist said I could stop. This is my first month charting since 2010 and also first month off birth control. Charting using bbt and cm to see if I ovulated. Cm has been dry, sticky, creamy and the on cd 12 got very very wet. No ewcm except for a really tiny bit I noticed on cd 13 after a bm. My temps are rather low but on cd 12, which is the day of the super wet cm my temp spiked way up. I assumed that was ovulation. Oddly enough the cm went back to very very creamy and then the temps dropped a bit over the next 3 days. My question is did I ovulate or is something wrong. Any advice will help. Since the 12th I have had tons of creamy cm. I guess more then I've ever noticed and also my cp was open and softer around the 12th and it feels more closed and like the tip of my nose now. Could I be past ovulation . Again any advice will help me ..

Thanks
Kat

Vegimama can you glance at my chart again and let Me know what it looks like. I'm really just wanting to know if you believe its a long cycle or not normal. Before bc my cycles were off too with out clomid and progesterone. It's the only time I remember actually seeing ovulation by charting and getting a period at the end. One new thing on a side note is randomly my nipples got sensitive. I actually asked my dh if he pinched them and i had forgotten. It's been a couple of days of that. To me my chart looks wonky. Let me know pls

Thanks

Honestly, I see nothing that makes me think you have ovulated.

I don't see ovulation yet on your chart, even though you had a bit of ewcm on cd20.

Hey again..

So still temping and waiting patiently to see if anything new happens. My temp did rise this morning .3 degrees. It did bring it above the last few temps so I'm just now curious to see when I get my period. With coming off bc its kinda hit or miss when it will happen. I would like to see if my temp keeps rising though. Also if or when I will start spotting. The few times I have had cycles on my own I always spotted and cramped day before or at least got pms crankyness. I wish I could say I did ovulate cause my temps would b leaning toward good but idk. Will someone glance at my chart again and give me feedback. If anything it gives me hope I won't be fighting an uphill battle ..

It's been several days. Can od you ladies please look at my chart and tell me if you think its still not showing o or if ot still looks bad. I did notice a temp shift, kinda wonky still but none the less a shift.

Thanks

I would still say no. FF is pretty good about detecting o as well, so that reinforces my belief that you haven't ovulated. Like I said before though, the more info you enter, the easier the interpretation. Temperature and CM don't tell the whole story. Your cervix would tell a lot. Thermal shifts are usually obvious and temps remain high, so you will see a definite change in the charting. OPK's would probably be helpful too because it would point out an LH surge. Look at my chart from last month and see what I am talking about...definite thermal shift, cervical changes, CM changes, and OPK changes and they all coincide. You can also see that when I stopped taking progesterone (this will happen without as well if you aren't pregnant) that my temps fell like a rock and then AF showed up. And as you can see, I don't take my temp everyday at the same time and the pattern is still clear. Just my opinion, but unfortunately I have gotten pretty experienced in this over the past 2 years. I would say that either you haven't ovulated yet or you aren't going to this cycle.

Agreeing with Karri, that the more chart data you have, the easier it is to see the whole picture.
