temp dip in luteal phase

Hi ladies, does anyone have any idea about what could cause a major temp dip in the luteal phase? I know the obvious, implantation dip but I really thought that was more of a one day spike down and then back up, which this is not. I have never had this before (with any of my pregnancies or my non-pregnant charts) so it seems weird. I could have sworn AF was about to come with my low temps and then they climbed up. But doesn't that mean my progesterone is a little too low or something? I am still watching my cycles get more regular after they returned a few mos ago, I am still nursing my now 15 month old.

I'm going to have to go with implantation dip - the obvious. Especially considering how many high temps you have...TAKE A TEST!

Your dip looks fairly typical of the mid-LP temp dip caused by an estrogen surge that causes a temporary progesterone dip.

Thanks for the reply, so it is good to know it is somewhat normal even when not from implantation. I will test in a few more days, had a 15 day LP once and was heartbroken to see the neg test so I wait till 18dpo or so now. But I am hoping too! Thanks for the input. I have never had an implantation dip with my 4 pregnancies so far. Always something new though with each one. Thanks again

Here's hoping your temp stays up nice and high...so far it's looking great!
