you can click below to view my chart. my temps have been all over the place, so this morning i decided to take my temp twice, just out of curiosity. twice in a row, not once, then back to sleep, then again. i ended up taking my temperature like four or five times within about five minutes, right upon waking. the highest temp was the first one. the one i put in on FF was the closest to the middle of the ones i had this morning. they varied by almost a full degree. am i doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my thermometer?

Well, I will say that some women are more sensitive to mouth position than others, so that could account for the variance.

my temps are mostly around 7 - 7:30 am, but i know there are a couple that were as much as a couple hours one way or the other. this is my re-attempt at charting - i tried it for quite awhile a few years ago, but quit because i couldn't make sense of my charts and i didn't have a dr to work with along with other personal issues. they were all over the place even when i did manage to get the vast majority of my temps at the same time. i think i had a couple charts that did show ovulation. they're saved on FF....i'm going to log in there and see if i can link to some of my old charts.

but i was messing with my thermometer after posting this and found a spot that i can get my thermometer in consistently in my mouth and i got three temps in a row that only varied by .01 of a degree. so i'm going to try that starting tomorrow morning. i did temp vaginally for one cycle in the past....i really can't remember what my temps were like right off, but i'm not very comfortable with doing that. i'm not coherent enough first thing in the morning for that, i think. :)

thanks!

this is the only past cycle on there that has complete temps. i know i used a program like FF on my old computer, but those files are long gone. i thought i had more on FF? but anyways. most of what's on there, i had just tracked when i had AF and some CM and that's it. this *is* a partiularly long cycle for me....the average length of the cycles i kept track of on FF is 55 days....i'd say in the past year or so, my cycles have been running around 35 to 45 days. but i've never been particularly regular.

i had a thyroid test done back in about 2006 (i think) and was told the numbers were all "normal". i do have other symptoms of thyroid problems, tho. are there different types of tests? or could a person still test normal even if they do have a thyroid problem? i mean, the test is just a snapshot of one day, right? i was diagnosed with PCOS, but it was based on that test being "normal" and a blood glucose test that came back "normal". the dr i went to didn't suggest any further testing or even really treatment other than offering me clomid (i wasn't ready to take a drug that's only purpose was to get me knocked up....i really don't think i'm ready for that now) and telling me to lose weight. what a winner, huh?

That link only took me to a login page.

As for thyroid issue, you probably will want to pursue it.
