I am wondering if anyone can give me any insight into my strange cycles...

Well, first of all, I'd make sure to be prepared for AF ;-) Ugh at the irregular cycles...no fun, and frustrating too!

It's possible that nursing is contributing to your wonky cycles...which, as you said, since you're not TTC it's not a huge deal. I'm all for EBF (I nursed my dd 3.5+ years, and my ds 2 years) so if you can tolerate the irregularity, keep doing what you're doing!

If progesterone issues are contributing to the irregularity, you can try taking 100 mg of Vitamin B6 daily and see if your cycles become more regular. The other thing I'm wondering is if you have a thyroid issue going? You don't have a lot of pre-O temps on your charts but you do have some that are under 97.0 degrees. Temps that consistently hang below 97.0 pre-O could indicate a thyroid issue. So that could be another angle to explore, especially if/when you're ready to ttc again. (Thyroid issues make it harder to conceive, and you're more likely to m/c, so if that were the case it would be something you'd want to "fix" before ttc.)

HTH...keep a stash of supplies at work or in your purse...this too shall pass and life with little ones is an all-to-short season of our lives.

LOL!! I know I felt like a 13 year old girl or something - not having supplies at work. Ha! It was just SO early - like 4 days, I was like, ummm, what the heck?! Luckily I had a quarter for the machine and some prepared friends. ;-)

Ok, I'm glad to know that it could just be the nursing interfering. I plan to nurse him at least till 2 (about 3 months away), and since we're not TTC it's no big. I would just love to have more predictability.

I have tried the B6 before and it does work to lengthen LP. If it starts bothering me too much I'll start that again.

Re: the thyroid - I actually was on this board a few months ago and you suggested this test! I went and head the test done (I believe it was the TSH test? I could be wrong, I could go find the paperwork...) Anyway, it was normal. So I guess I'm in the clear as far as that goes? The low temps concern me too, but I'm not sure what else to do if the thyroid test is normal?

Yep, TSH is the test. Did you get your actual results from the doctor, or just an "it's normal"?

Just an "it's normal," though I could call and get the results...

It wouldn't hurt to call for the actual result.

I am almost positive that it was 1.2. I can call and check though. Thanks so much for all your help!

Well if it was, you're right in range. Whew. I suspect it's just the hormones being wonky from nursing...but it's sooooooooooo worth it, right? I miss those days...a little bit, LOL ;-)
