What the H#%L!

My chart looks crazy! Unfortunately this is my first month charting the whole cycle so I don't have much to compare it to. Also, I had pretty major surgery in November so I think some of my January charts may be off because of that.

I'm also charting on the Ivillage fertility planner and it has me Oing on day 19.

I was just wondering if someone could look at my charts and tell me if everything looks normal or if it looks like I have a chance at a BFP. My past two cycles have been 26 days and the one before that was 27 days.

TIA!!

Unfortunately, I'm seeing only your chart legend, not the chart itself.

Hello,

Your chart looks pretty good actually, in that you definitely O'd.. I would have to agree with ff and say you O'd between cd21 and cd22..

You just had a delayed O due to stress or something...

Well, I'm going to throw out a different O time.

Thanks so much for the info and advice. I'm attaching the link to my cycle form IVFP and it has the same O date that Sue suggested. I hope it is CD 19 since we BD on the 18th. :)

A couple of you mentioned the possibility of a thyroid condition. This is only my 3 cycle TTC, but I had charted previously in preparation (I had surgery in November and had to wait until February for the all clear from my doc). I noticed right away that my temps were really low and I (of course) looked it up online and saw that a thyroid issue could be a concern. I had blood work done that all came back normal; however, my testosterone levels were really low. My OBGYN felt the tests (which were performed by my family doctor) were inaccurate and he ran new tests. On that test my testosterone was fine as was my FSH. I don't believe that he tested my progesterone levels.

I actually have an appt with my OBGYN tomorrow to discuss my concerns. He mostly doing it has a favor since my mom is his ultrasound sonographer. He has already told her I should throw out my thermometer and stop worrying. I'm hoping that once he actually reviews my chart he will see my concerns.

Also, a couple of you asked if I was taking my temp at the same time every morning. I always take it around 6:15 give or take 30 minutes, but it's never more than that.

My BBs are really sore right now and my nipples seem enlarged (sorry for TMI). Hopefully, it's a good sign, but I don't know what to expect.

Thanks again for the info and please let me know if you have any other insights!

Some docs don't really believe in charting, so be wary of any advice the ob/gyn gives you in that regard.

Hello,

Well, without a blood test it would be hard to know for sure when you O'd.. I am still leaning on cd20 or 21 like ff says for this reason:

I just got back from my OBGYN. It went ok I guess. Sue, again you were right and he didn't put much stock in my charting--he said he hasn't used charting and years and they only way for it to be really accurate was to take temps rectally (umm, no thanks!). He was nice though and heard my out. He said that my TSH (thyroid) levels were normal with a 2.5--I guess I'm just cold blooded (lol). I don't have any of the other thyroid symptoms either. Some of my other hormone levels had been tested previously in the year and all of those were in the average range as well.

He said that if I were his daughter he would tell me to just go home and have fun. I told him I wanted some kind of plan and that I just have a "feeling" something is off. He decided that we should start by monitoring my follicle size, etc. through ultrasound. Since my mom does the ultrasounds I'm sure she will be willing. :) If that shows anything abnormal then he said he would do a biopsy and look at prescribing progesterone. At least it's something of a plan...

Someone had mentioned using OPKs. I tried them for one month, but I never got a clear positive. I don't know if that means I have low LH levels or if I just missed the surge. They were really frustrating so I stopped using them. If I still don't have a BFP after another month or so I may order the ovulation watch. I'm also going to try that new fertility test by first response once af shows.

I'm still holding out hope since I haven't started yet and the majority of my cycles have been 26-27 days. I plan on testing on Saturday so fingers crossed!

Thanks ladies!

Hello,

Ok, had to check your chart today as your chart was so unusual in the temp range.. I see you did start AF today.. total bummer... I hope you get your BFP on this new cycle!

Well, not sure exactly when you O'd~ I'm still leaning on cd21 I believe, and so you would have a 9 day LP.. and if you DID O on cd19 (which is quite possible) then your LP would still only be 11 days, and that can easily spell a luteal

Laura-

Thank you so much for all you've done. It's so sweet of you to look through the other charts for me. I was really disappointed when AF showed since this was actually a longer cycle for me.

I would really like to have a full blood work up liked you mentioned, but how do I go about getting that? I OBGYN thinks I just need to "relax" and it will happen. In any other circumstances I would possibly seek out another OBGYN, but my mom has worked with him for 10+ years and he has always been very kind to me. I think he may be more willing to do it if the ultrasounds show that I am ovulating late, so maybe I will just wait and bring it up when the time comes.

I thought I would also give you a little bit of info on my medical history to see if you think that could play a part at all. I have had Crohn's Disease for about 11 years and in November of 08 I had surgery to remove part of my colon and small intestine. I had a quick recovery and have felt better than I ever have! Currently to treat my Crohn's I take an injection of Humira every other week. Some women have actually used Humira to treat infertility in cases when the body is fighting the fetus.

I have also visited a "voodoo" doc at my sister-in-law's advice. She has put me on Ovex (which is suppose to regulate my ovulation, B6 to lengthen my luteal phase, another supplement to improve my adrenal system (which she says is the reason for the low temps), and iodine which is suppose to be for overall reproductive health. Who knows if any of it is worth anything, but it's worth a try!

As for this cycle, I'm going to stick with the temping, maybe try OPKs, and take the OTC fertility test on CD 3.

Thanks again for all your support and input, and please let me know if you have any more advice!
