Name and stage in pregnancy: Dixie (southerngirl1014) and I am 38 weeks along. PRAYING that the end is near, lol.

Gender (any guesses?): Still officially a surprise but I still have strong feelings it is a boy!

Best thing about being pregnant: Getting to feel the peanut move around. It is still so precious to me. I know once the peanut is born I will miss that part of pregnany.

Worst thing about being pregnant: The discomfort. I cannot sleep for more then 2 hours between discomfort and having to pee. Plus the heartburn is over whelming. While I definitely am so thankful I am pregnant I think no matter what at a certain point we are ready to have the baby in our arms.

Well I am still here without peanut in arms (although currently it is pushing against my ribs so it knows it is being talk/typed about lol). I have definitely reached the stage of being done being pregnant. Really I have been very lucky to have an easy pregnancy so I did not think I would feel this way. I guess it always comes down to the 2ww (tee hee they haunt us don't they!) Clearly 2 weeks in my number. I went for my appointment Thursday and there is no change so looks like I am fated to wait some more!

Kelly - At the rate you are going you might have your little one before me! I truly hope everything is going ok and your BP is becoming more normal. It is frustrating to be stuck on bed rest already but at least it is all worth it. Many prayers that your LO stays baking long enough.

Ha no action. We are going to have to pry this child out. It took so long to get a baby to stick now I cannot unstick it. Lol

I am still working. Even three 12 hour night shifts in a row does not budge this child. I am asking my doctor today if I should do my last week still. I feel fine so I don't anticipate the doctor saying no. However this upcoming Sunday thru Tuesday are officially my last three days. Hopefully my water doesn't break at work as they might be resistant to letting me go to my actual hospital to deliver. Which of course I will fight tooth and nail lol.

Ugh well its official I am still closed and my cervix is still long. Guess I will be going to work Sunday! This child is clearly way to comfy to come out.

However my sister just told me (despite the fact I have been checking for months) that she cannot watch my child once I go back to work. To say I am mad would be an understatement.
I asked her months ago when she told me she accidentally got pregnant (don't even let me go down that road) if she would still be able to and she said yes. Fast forward to today a week before my due date and she says she does not think she will be able to. I am SO mad. We plan on doing cloth diapering (which I already have purchased and washed) and now that probably won't happen at least with the sitter. Plus the whole hastle of FINDING one. Plus the cost because I am not sure we can find one who will only do a few days a week. I am feeling so overwhelmed.

It frustrates me she waited this long and she knows it. Right now we are not on speaking terms.

Looks like you have a little one who is destined to make you wait just a little bit longer! (As if you haven't waited long enough already!) I sure hope that there is some progress soon, and you have your long-awaited little on in your arms soon!

I am sorry that things are not going to work out with your sister. I cannot believe that she waited until now to let you know that she cannot take care of your little one. Child care plans are stressful enough and to think that you have plans in place and to have them fall through must be overwhelming.

I hope that you are able to make arrangements that will work for you quickly!

I had a bad night last night worrying about the child care situation. Looking today did not fix that. It certainly is overwhelming to say the least.

However as I sit here now I did some breathing I learned in child birth class and decided I cannot make myself nuts. I am still mad at my sister but in the end I am not going to stop talking to her forever over it (although I am still not speaking to her, stress makes me stubborn).

I figure God helped me get this baby and so if I take a moment and breath I will figure out how to fix this problem too. It is yet another moment of learning to be stronger. Plus I do have 8 weeks to find someone and sadly if I need more time I need more time and will just have to risk it with my job.

It will get better! That is my motto today!
