Good Luck Dixie! Your LO is just too comfy in there! 8 weeks of maternity leave just stinks. The US has such insane laws about that. My bff in Australia gets a year off!

BTW, my co-worker is officially a grandma again. Her daughter had the baby literally 37 minutes ago! Grandma and I share an office and we spent our lunch break listening to her daughter push on speaker phone. LOL There were five of us in here rooting her on.

Thanks! I am over being mad at my sister, she is one of my best friends and I simply could not stay mad. My sister apologized and understood why I was mad and I just gave me time to get over it. Life is too short and I hate harboring anger, especially with someone who I love so much. Plus my coworker thinks she found someone for me that I will call tomorrow and meet. Hopefully if that works out then problem solved!

I have my appointment tomorrow and I am ready to set an eviction date. While I do want to go into natural labor I also need to have an end goal in sight. Plus I only have 8 weeks of maternity leave I can afford to be on so I do not want to waste it waiting, if that makes sense.

I should have known that since it took medical intervention to GET pregnant I would need it to get un-pregnant. Lol. I am hoping tomorrow they strip my membranes too so fingers crossed I have opened up a little since as of last week I am as closed up down there as a water park in winter.

Thinking of you Dixie! I'm sure everything will work itself out. I don't blame you for being ticked at your sis though!

I hope your peanut decides to make his or her appearance soon! I have a co-worker whose daughter was due on 12/10 and she's still waiting too. I think of you everyday I come in and ask my co-worker for the status report. LOL She is finally having some cramping today and her doctor told her to head to the hospital. She has a nasty rash that sometimes happens late in pregnancy, so her doctor might give her some pitocin to get things moving if she isn't far enough along already.

I had a bad night last night worrying about the child care situation. Looking today did not fix that. It certainly is overwhelming to say the least.

However as I sit here now I did some breathing I learned in child birth class and decided I cannot make myself nuts. I am still mad at my sister but in the end I am not going to stop talking to her forever over it (although I am still not speaking to her, stress makes me stubborn).

I figure God helped me get this baby and so if I take a moment and breath I will figure out how to fix this problem too. It is yet another moment of learning to be stronger. Plus I do have 8 weeks to find someone and sadly if I need more time I need more time and will just have to risk it with my job.

It will get better! That is my motto today!

Looks like you have a little one who is destined to make you wait just a little bit longer! (As if you haven't waited long enough already!) I sure hope that there is some progress soon, and you have your long-awaited little on in your arms soon!

I am sorry that things are not going to work out with your sister. I cannot believe that she waited until now to let you know that she cannot take care of your little one. Child care plans are stressful enough and to think that you have plans in place and to have them fall through must be overwhelming.

I hope that you are able to make arrangements that will work for you quickly!

Ugh well its official I am still closed and my cervix is still long. Guess I will be going to work Sunday! This child is clearly way to comfy to come out.

However my sister just told me (despite the fact I have been checking for months) that she cannot watch my child once I go back to work. To say I am mad would be an understatement.
I asked her months ago when she told me she accidentally got pregnant (don't even let me go down that road) if she would still be able to and she said yes. Fast forward to today a week before my due date and she says she does not think she will be able to. I am SO mad. We plan on doing cloth diapering (which I already have purchased and washed) and now that probably won't happen at least with the sitter. Plus the whole hastle of FINDING one. Plus the cost because I am not sure we can find one who will only do a few days a week. I am feeling so overwhelmed.

It frustrates me she waited this long and she knows it. Right now we are not on speaking terms.

I am still working. Even three 12 hour night shifts in a row does not budge this child. I am asking my doctor today if I should do my last week still. I feel fine so I don't anticipate the doctor saying no. However this upcoming Sunday thru Tuesday are officially my last three days. Hopefully my water doesn't break at work as they might be resistant to letting me go to my actual hospital to deliver. Which of course I will fight tooth and nail lol.

Ha no action. We are going to have to pry this child out. It took so long to get a baby to stick now I cannot unstick it. Lol
