Hello Ladies!

My apologies for my absence! Packing up everything from the hospital, my laptop took a tumble off my hospital bed and ended up in several pieces. DH just got it back from the shop this afternoon.

I came home on the 17th and have been lying low since then. I am still on very strict bedrest, and will be until the twins get here. I have a home contraction monitor that I hookup to twice a day, and a conference call with a nurse twice a day to discuss what my monitoring looks like and discuss any symptoms I may be feeling. I had my follow up appointment with the doctor on the 23rd, and for the first time since they placed the cerclage, they measured my cervical legnth to see how it's doing. I still have alot of "funneling", but it's not to the stitch, so unless it worsens, they think that the stitch *might* hold. On the upside, having the cerclage placed took my cervix from 1.3cm to 1.7cm! I was excited about that.

The babies are still doing really well, I am feeling them bumble around....Matthew is going to be tall....he'll tag my belly button and my rear end at the same time!! Poor Hailey is shoved up against my right hip bone and doesn't hesitate to let me know when she's tired of being cramped. :) They were measuring about a pound each at my last check. I have another growth check for them on the 7th. They have been measuring about a week ahead and I will be 23 weeks on the 8th, so we're hoping for the docs to give us the "they are viable" speech that day. We'll see!

I've spent the past 10 days trying to keep myself occupied--without internet!!! It's been fun, lemme tell ya! I've watched wayyyyyy too many movies and reruns, read a couple books and slept.....alot. It's not been too bad. Staying in bed really isn't all that hard. The hard part is keeping my mind busy so I can't think of the scary stuff.

I hope everyone is doing well, I haven't yet had a chance to go through all the postings from the past 2 weeks...I think I'll save that for tomorrow. :)

Night Ladies! Happy Gestating!

I'm so glad you posted this! I've been scared that the lack of contact was because of more baby and mama drama ;-) so I am glad it was "just" a broken laptop! It is great that you and the babies are doing so well! I love the names, by the way! I'm sorry you are so bored, but the life of a full time incubator just can't be too exciting, I guess. Keep gestating those babies!!!!

Glad you're doing well Rachael - we are always worried when we don't hear from someone.

Rachael,

I'm so glad to hear that everything is going well with your LO's.

Bummer about your laptop, but that's good that it was fixable.

Sounds like your LO's are quite active:)

Yay for the cerclage holding up!

Gosh I can't even imagine trying to keep myself occupied for 10 days without internet. Kudos to you.

I was hoping we would
