Hey ladies!

Here's 3D pic of Dawson. I love the pouty lip!

I'm not sure why there's a grid pattern on it...anyway.

Awww! Love the pic! Technology is just freakin' AMAZING these days! He does have the cutest pouty lip going on! Wow, I bet looking at this puts into perspective how close you really are to having them! Not too much longer and you'll get to be kissing those cheeks! :)

I had a nice weekend of doing nothing! Well, I did do laundry but that was it, lol. Today I have a MW appointment and then I am coming home to nap. I was up way too early this morning thanks to my dogs..of course they fall right back to sleep! I am so excited for Wednesday because I get to go visit my family in Phoenix!!

Well, today's appointment was great, except that I need to start monitoring my food intake alot better. I have gained 16 pounds already, and for someone who was not at the ideal body weight pre-pregnancy it isn't good! I still have 18ish weeks left! Anyhow, my MW

I responded on the EC board to this already- but I'll say a little something here too. As you know, we are in the same boat as far as issues with weight gain. Yours isn't nearly as bad as mine. Actually, isn't 15 lbs average weight gain by 22 weeks? Don't feel bad, I was up 22 lbs and that was over a week and a half ago at my 19w4d appt. Man, you'd think that would OPEN my eyes a little, but noooooo, I still eat like a cow and ALL the wrong things, (carbs, sweets, fast food, etc). What the heck is wrong with me?!?!!!! I wish I could just SNAP OUT of this funk I am in. I just can't stop eating JUNK. I eat healthy foods too, but it seems like they don't fill me up and then I turn right to the bad stuff. I have always had issues with yo-yo dieting, etc. I'm one of those "All or nothing" kinds. I'm either eating right and exercising, or the complete opposite. So far this pregnancy, I've been the latter. I think that is why I have the mindframe that I'll just start dieting after the baby comes. I should be proactive and start now.... I guess its never too late. Rub off on me Emily.... PLEASE!!!

LOL, it's hard!! My weight gain would be fine if I wasn't already over the ideal weight to begin with. I was doing great on Atkins before I got pregnant, so I am just going to get back on track with that, but still incorporating good carbs. I think I am motivated because, at 35, I know that it will be harder to lose excess weight..and I just don't want to struggle trying to get back down to where I was pre-pregnancy. I had literally JUST fit into a size 12(down from a 16) a week before I found out I was pregnant, lol.

I do think it is hard to snap out of the eat what I crave mood. The way my MW put it, the bigger I am, the bigger baby can get and the harder it can be to have a vaginal birth..which is ultimately our goal. I'm sorry that you are struggling..I think it stinks that it is an issue...I so wish I had been a skinny mini before:/

I was never what dr's considered overweight, but was a little on the heavy side. I lost approx 25 lbs last yr after having the surgery to have my fallopian tube removed and adopting our twins. I felt great, but I heard a lot of "your too skinny" from my co workers, friends and family. Well, come holiday time, I gained 10 lbs of it back. I was getting ready to start working on losing some of it when I found out I was preg. Its been a downward spiral ever since! I used to work as a teacher in an urban school that was 4 stories, and I would run up and down the stairs all day. Now, I am stuck at a desk in an office- so that doesn't help either. Grrrr! I hope this weight comes off as easily as it comes on, lol, (wishful thinking, I know!)
