Hi everyone,

So I have Crohn's disease and had surgery a few years ago, now the scar tissue is wrapped around my fallopian tubes and I can only get pregnant with IVF. Last year we got a loan to try the IVF. We went through the steps and they told us our dates for everything, all they needed was the money. So we went to the bank and were told that as of August 1 they could no longer offer loans for this type of thing. Anyway, it has been really hard. My sister no longer speaks to me because of this (more to that story) and I don't know where to go. Do I belong on the IVF board or infertility board? We are trying to save the money but it will take us awhile. Please help me, I have nobody.

You are more then welcome here, and any other board that you find supportive. I have never had to go to the IVF board (because my DH and I decided that just is not something for us) but I am part of the adoption board. I like to get support every place I can. I know how valuable the women on these boards have been to my sanity!

I hope you can find support and a shoulder to cry on our a cheerleading squad when needed. Try out the support group board down further down. We always welcome new people. Good luck!

I have been at the ivillage ivf board, though have not been there in awhile. I also frequently read a very busy ivf board at another place....and it's great for information and reminding you that a lot of other women are also going thru the exact same thing...however, I've always preferred this board. There are ivf gals here, including myself....and we are all pretty regular, so that helps, too...additionally, for me, it's a smaller group so it's been easier to get to know the women here and their stories. Emotionally, this by far has been the best place for me. I hope you will come to find that, as well.

I am SO sorry that you are feeling like you have nowhere to turn and that you have been through so much up to this point on your own...There are a lot of women who can empathize with you here...We have all felt utterly and completely alone on this rollercoaster called infertility, but you have come to the right place.

You are more than welcome here on the IF board, and I am sure that the IVF board would be more than happy to help you as well!
