Holiday cards

I feel like I just got over my friends' kids' Halloween pics and I realized that holiday cards with people's annoyingly cute kids smiling at me in some cheesy sweater are on their way. I feel like doing something crazy like emailing my friends with kids to tell them not to send me a holiday card. But of course, I won't. And, because I'm a masochist, I'll probably still check the mail every day as usual instead of having my husband do it. Ugh! Such a bummer for the holidays! The days where I hung everyone's cards up by our stockings seems like a distant memory.

That's my rant for the day... AF is due next weekend, and I'm hoping she doesn't arrive so I get an early Christmas present, but that's kind of like when I was 5 and asked for a pony for Christmas...

-promptly runs your mailbox, removes all cutsie kid cards and puts in a pony :smileywink:-

I know what you mean. For some stupid reason I got it in my head to make a scrapbook for my sister of her daughter. I suppose I thought of it when I thought I would be pg for the holidays but now that I said I will I cant stand not to finish it.

I hope AF stays away and if not I hope that pony really does come!

Y'all are going to have to re-read what you wrote when you're sending out those Christmas photo cards of yourselves, the DH and the kids smiling like goons in your matching Christmas ensembles! :). As far as I can tell, all parents are obnoxious...and I think each and everyone of us will be just as obnoxious, if not more so cuz it was so much harder for us to get a junior. It is hard, though. Beyond any doubt, we wouldn't think twice about any of that, but IF just makes us so sensitive to just about anything involving kids, I know I speak from experience, unfortunately.
