Are any of you ladies out there ex-smokers?????

Well I am.....and I quit right after our wedding when we started TTC......well I have had my fair share of slip ups.....and had a few here and there.....but I've managed to pretty much remain a non smoker except on some very stressful days...but regardless its few and far between.....and I hate when I slip up and buy a pack because I know how bad it is for my fertility.....but if you've never smoked you probably can't understand how great a cigarette tastes sometimes.....I swear they should make them illegal they are soooooo addicting and so hard to quit.....anyways I'm afraid that one day I'm just gonna start smoking again....what do you ex-smokers on here do to keep away from the smokes???

Sorry Jeanne, I am not a smoker, but I come from a family of smokers (mom and I are the only non-smokers).

Hi Jeanne, I am an ex smoker. I started when I was 15 and quit in 2000. During my smoking years I developed pneumonia, severe enough that I was hospitalized for 2 weeks. I also have asthma so you would think I wouldn't have picked it up at all. By the time I quit it hurt so bad to smoke I was smoking ultra lights and it still felt like fire in my lungs. For i year I had lies to my son and told him I already quit. Had lies for all the times he found empty packs and when he smelled cig smoke. Well one day he walked out and caught me with a cig and was so mad and disappointed in me that I .ve never picked one up again. Between the pain and him I figured it was fate telling me it was time to quit. I agree with how they taste and how addicting they are. Although I will never smoke again there are still time I can say this is a perfect cig time. Good luck and if you need support let me know.

I knew you guys would understand.....Just for some reason the last few days all I have been able to think about is having a cigarette.....and I'm fighting off the urges, because even one cigarette can hurt your fertility.....I'm just frustrated...on one hand I want to smoke just to give in to myself.....on the other hand I keep telling myself its been so long don't start this up again.....UGHHHHHHHHH
