LOL I'll keep that in mind! Nothing has happened since (that we know of) but we noticed muddy footprints in front of our garage that are way too small for DH's size 15's and way too big for my size 7's. Makes us a little uneasy. We did get a notice that he has a court date later this month and had to pay $700 bail after he turned himself in.

Hey Jemma, I was telling DH this story the other day and he suggests if it happens again to wire a 220 plug in and let the thief fry all his electronics. I'm not sure if it would work, but I thought it was pretty funny!
Thanks ladies...things have thankfully been very quiet. We're still keeping our backyard light on at night and we turned off the circuit breaker in our garage that powers one of the outside outlets. We had to keep the other one active though because the same one that powers the 2nd outlet also powers the garage opener. It would be a major pain to have to flip the circuit breaker everytime we want to leave the house or come home and want to park in the garage. We've seen people at the house walking around inside with flashlights. I'm pretty sure that they no longer own the house because the house listing says the sale is pending approval from US Bankruptcy Court. So we think that the bank owns the house, but the people are still living there. Personally we don't care. As long as they aren't stealing from us, they can do whatever they want. Hopefully this ordeal is over!

Yikes, Jemma! I am sorry that you are going through this, but you did the right thing. You work hard for your money, and it is not right that they are stealing from you! But, just be careful! If the son is willing to blatantly steal electricity from you, you cannot be sure what else he is willing to do!

TTC Since June 2009
August 2007 - Myomectomy - removed large fibroid on back of uterus
January 2010 - HSG reveals "possible" blocked left tube
March 2010 - First RE visit (PCOS secondary to CAH diagnosed)
April 2010 - October 2010
This is a crazy story!!! Wow. I couldn't STOP reading it. I love that the kid seemed incredulous about your DH confronting him. Some people just don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. I hope the people stop and don't cause more trouble for you.

Hope this all gets resolved quickly and easily!
I don't blame you for calling the police.
