Ok Dh just called to tell me how crappy and unfair life can be.  So he works in road construction and this morning on the job site he saw a caravan of four wheelers.   Each of the four wheelers had small children (ages 3-5) sitting in the drivers lap.  Not a big deal in the back 40 of your property, but here the terrain is pretty steep and DH, an experienced 4 wheeler, said he would be leery doing that terrain let alone with a child or even an adult passenger.  And on top of it one of the four wheelers was the two side by side seater (looks like a beefed up golf cart or mini jeep) had an infant in a  carrier tie strapped in the passenger seat!  On dangerous terrain!  All of the construction guys were shocked and irritated by the scene. And these people are able to propagate. GRRRRRR.

That is so wrong. You just want to run up and scream at them!! It is hard-I had a hard group of kids this year at school (I teach Kindergarten) and 16 out of my 20 where in foster homes for being physically or sexually abused. It was so hard on me, I just wanted to take each one home with me. It was so frustrating to know that there are so many people out there who do not take care of their kids and here we are -we would give the world for one.

I would think that would be very hard to work with kids in that situation everyday.

That's nothing. Yesterday here in Phoenix the police were called to a motel room and the officer found a placenta in a backpack. The drug dealer who was staying in the room and his girlfriend came back to the room, she was holding the baby they just delivered in one hand and a beer in the other. When the officers tried to arrest her, she used the baby as a shield. She also has a 4 year old daughter who she is under investigation with CPS. Nice, huh?

It makes me so mad that people like this can have babies left and right and nice, caring people like us can't. My friend and I half heartily joke around that we should become alcoholics and start smoking crack, then we will get pregnant!

I agree, it's unfair to us but also unfair to those poor children who will grow up so messed up. It makes no sense to me.

Not really related, but I'm a big gymnastics fan and noticed that a lot of Olympic gymnasts have NO trouble having kids, even though they didn't start getting AF until their twenties in most cases and spent years underweight/anorexic/not eating right
