Stressful week ahead

Hi all,

I haven't posted for awhile, but Susan has been urging me to - I'm stressed about this cycle - I've just started a relationship with a new RE and I'm overwhelmed by having to start all over again. This week I am having trigger and two back to back IUI's but not drugs because I am getting over an infection (she was going to give me Follstim). I just feel very negative about the whole thing, very bitter and angry, convinced it won't work. For those who know me, I had a very early mc in September which was an emotional nightmare for me (because of the hormones). Also, at this new RE they are much less organized, even though it is a smaller friendlier office. So I'm very tense and so sick of the whole thing. I need support the next two weeks.

Thanks everyone.

Thank you both! Actually, there is a nurse at the new RE who is super sweet and had IF herself before successfully conceiving. She is so nice and gave me a hug when I had a meltdown in front of her last week. So you are right, there will be some plusses to being there.

Jessica - great chatting with you too and if you do come to NY I hope to meet you! LOL about the bakery ;)

Here's to surviving tomorrow - I have bw and u/s at 8am, will keep you posted.

hi caren,

(((((hugs))))) i don't want to say i know exactly how you feel, but i feel like i could have written your post. after my long history of failed treatments, i feel like this can never work, and yet i'm so angry that i am still hoping. it's a total rollercoaster ride, and since the iui i felt ok, then totally sad and depressed, then pretty ok for a while, and now stuck in the "it will never happen...but maybe this cycle will work". it totally messes with you. and of course there's some anxiety around starting w/ a new RE and getting used to how they work. we're all here to support you, and feel free to email me anytime!

your french-speaking buddy (but my written grammar is awful),

Thanks, everyone. It means a lot. You know what else is really annoying? The acupuncturist keeps saying "next month we'll do........" and I'm like NO, don't talk to me about next month, maybe there won't be a next month!!! Why do they talk as if this cycle will be a bust??!!! We internalize it and then we stop believing. That is not good! They should be more positive!
