Surprised...But happy.

Well ladies I'm feeling pretty good today. I just got back from an RE appt. He took another look at my HSG films and my progesterone levels. He decided that the "blockage" that they saw before was more than likely a spasm, which I suppose is common during an HSG. That's the second RE that said that so I think that's a pretty safe assumption. He concluded that to help my fluctuating progesterone levels he's started me on Clomid. I think I'm ok with it, but I'm a bit surprised. All my numbers and mettleschmerz say that I'm Oing every month (and I thought Clomid was for women that sometimes O and sometimes don't) so I never really thought I was a good candidate for it. But as he explained it to me, the fact that some times my body made enough progesterone and sometimes it made very little made me a great candidate for Clomid. It was a bit strange since AF is here and he wanted to give me a pelvic (and did ICKIES!) but he said the timing couldn't have been better, since I'm on CD3 we started Clomid right away. He said it's faster and more comfortable than Progesterone Suppositories and he actually said, "I can almost guarantee that you'll be pg within the next 4 months" He said that b/c I AM Oing and everything but my progesterone is normal, everything is IDEAL to conceive. Of course he didn't like that I was working with a Chiro, and told me that I was just giving her money. But I was straight with him and told him that's fine, he can think what he wants but I really do feel a difference and if anything, if it's not hurting my TTC chances, then only good can come of it. I'm feeling so hopeful now, the end may be in sight!

hi roman,

great news! i've been on clomid for my iui cycles, but RE didn't know if i needed it but used it to regulate the cycles (we did ivf b/c of dh's condition so it didn't even matter. i have pcos, but not many symptoms.). i've never heard an RE come close to guaranteeing a BFP! that's a great sign!

That's terrific, Roman!

I didn't know Clomid had something to do with progesterone level. I did 3 months of Clomid because even though I O regularly, I O very late in the cycle and Clomid makes you O on time. But I still took progesterone suppositories on top of that.

I also believe you will be pg one day soon, because you were already pg once. You are NOT infertile, you're just having issues, as am I (I was pg too as you know).

Baby dust!
