Thanks Megan! My sister still hasn't gotten AF, so she will probably test again in a few days if nothing happens. The beta was negative though so she's most likely not pg. I think the positive HPT was probably due to user error. She most likely waited too long to check the test. I still have this nagging feeling like maybe the beta was wrong or something...stranger things have happened. I mean, AF has never been late for her unless she was pg so it's kinda wierd. How two sisters can be so different, I'll never know!!! I usually never get AFexcept for random one every 3-5 years or so. Both of my sisters are like clockwork. Lucky me I guess....grrr!

I absolutely do not think it is terrible you dreaded that. I dread every time my sister says she is feeling weird that she is pg again. I absolutely hold my breath.

As to the thing about false positive that is sadly not true. I got a false positive with the digital HPT. It was not fun :-( I read too on the internet that one tends to give false positives frequently. I do not use them anymore for that reason. Not that I want to scare people! Just I guess I wish I had known that before I used it.

Don't beat yourself up about feeling that way, I'd feel the same.

I just heard back from my sister. She went to the doctor and is apparently not pregnant. However, I find it odd that she had a positive HPT. She said she took two tests, one positive and one negative. I have always heard that you can't get false positives, only false negatives. The test at the doctor's was a blood test, not urine, so I suppose that's the reliable one. I still think it's odd she had a positive HPT though....

I guess I'm relieved she's not pg, but I feel like a major beotch for saying that. It's just supposed to be my turn ya know?
