ugggh what a day

So I wake up to an email from DH's aunt, saying that DHs grandfather is not doing too well and is in the hospital. While DH and I are figuring out how we're going to go to Ohio to see him, we get a call saying the grandfather has died.

DH spent all morning fighting with his mother; they will not hold the funeral until we can get there. We can only be there on Friday, but they insist on a Saturday funeral. So DH was hurt, I was livid, but I think we are going out there for Friday calling hours...a 6 hour drive for calling hours. blah.

Then I took my cat to the vet...and he had to be put to sleep. He's not actually mine...he's a stray I feed and take care of. but it turns out he has tumors on his kidneys, and a tumor behind his eye. So, in the rain, DH dug a grave in our backyard and we buried my poor cat.

It has been a DAY that is never ending.

(( ( ( H U G S ) ) ) ) What a crappy day! I am so sorry. I don't see why they can't arrange it so everyone can be there. And if my cat died I would go into mourning for a year but she might as well be my actual child. I really hope the rest of the day gets better for you.

Kristy- {{{HUGS}}} to you. That is quite the crappy day. So sorry to hear about those losses. Isn't it amazing to see how attached we get to our animals? I don't know what I will do the day one of our dogs passes away. I hope tomorrow is a better day.
