Hi ladies, I'm back after an ectopic and a loss at 8 1/2 weeks both achieved with no help other than accupuncture. This month no accupuncture but femara and hcg trigger. I am at 11 dpo and unless there is a miracle, I will be starting injectables next week. I am a nurse and get the idea of the injections, but I was wondering if anyone has real life experiences/things to watch/things they didn't tell you, etc. It all seems a bit overwhelming. I just want to be prepared for what to expect. Unfortunately, some more issues have been uncovered and this will probably be our last option if we want to keep using assistance to have a baby. Strangely, we seem to have more luck getting pregnant on our own, but we just can't stay pregnant. I just pray this is the correct choice and that it works. Any insight would grately be appreciated. Thanks. Karri

Hi Karri,

So sorry about your loss.  It just doesn't get easier, does it?  I found when I did injectables that I was always very itchy afterwards, so I would ice the injection site afterwards and that seemed to help.  I always did them in the evening so that I had time to sit and do the icing for a few minutes after.  I've heard others say they iced first, before doing the injections and that helps with the pain.

Good luck!

Heather
