i want to know if cigarettes can make it difficult to get my girlfreind pregnant. I dont drink nor take any drugs. But i smoke 2 packets of cigarettes daily. I am 43 with no kids.

Hey there! Yes, smoking can defnitely affect fertility. It can lower sperm concentration, motility (swimming ability), and morphology (shape of sperm). Of course, lots of people who smoke go on to have children, so there could be other factors besides just the smoking. Is your girlfriend monitoring her cycles? There is only a window of a few days each month that a woman can get pregnant, so if you monitor cycles you may be able to narrow that down. Have you both been tested? It could be any number of things, or it just could be that you need a little more time.
